Michael OMahony
Michael OMahony is a professional genealogist based in Clonakilty, West Cork, who specialises in family and genealogical research in that region.

He holds an Honours Diploma in Genealogy from University College Cork and has successfully linked several emigrant families in the United States, Australia, Great Britain and elsewhere with their relatives back in Ireland.
Along with building the family tree, a feature of the service provided involves locating ancestral homes and visiting these locations with those who wish to do so.
Local Knowledge
Michael has an unrivalled knowledge of West Cork and its people, having worked there as a company representative for many years in an earlier career. There are people in every parish that can be readily contacted to advise and validate research, while providing a unique insight into the history and identity of the various families that originated in individual townlands. He is also an active member of numerous historical, cultural and sporting organisations and has contributed to many publications.
